We’re truly a family-run operation – owned by Joe Simmons, Sr. and Gwen Simmons, their children, Joe Simmons, Jr. and Mickey Meade, control many of the daily operations. You can read more about us below.

Joe has been a licensed pest control supervisor for nearly 20 years. He has over 25 years of pest control field experience and is able to tackle the majority of pest control issues that face customers in our area. Our customers have told us that they enjoy his light-hearted demeanor, and professional attitude. Joe grew up in the Meriden area, but now lives in Wallingford with his wife Gwen.

Gwen has been working side-by-side with her husband Joe for over 7 years. Our customers have known her as the kind-hearted telephone voice with the answer to just about any question. Recently Gwen took a step back from the frontlines and is enjoying a much needed retirement (and spending more time with her grandchildren.) But, you often find her working behind the scenes troubleshooting those tricky pest issues that our customers are faced with.

Joe Jr. has been working in the pest control industry for almost all of his adult life. At age 18, Joe began working with his father (Joe Simmons, Sr.) on a part-time basis while attending college. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern CT State University, he went on to work for several information technology companies. After nearly 8 years in the computer field, Joe Jr. decided to shift gears and join the family business. Joe is licensed with the state Department of Environmental Protection as a pest control supervisor. He has a keen eye for analyzing pest problems and recommending the best course of treatment. Our customers enjoy his caring attitude and sensitivity to their pest control needs. Joe lives in Wallingford with his wife Cara and their 5 children.

Mickey (Simmons) Meade is the newest member of our team. She is the daughter of owners, Joe and Gwen Simmons. Mickey graduated from Southern CT State University in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Upon graduating, Mickey moved to Hawaii and lived there for nearly ten years. She worked at a Christian Radio station and developed strong administrative skills. In 2004, Mickey made the decision to move back to Connecticut and support her family's business by becoming their bookkeeper. Her varied experience and her meticulous attention to detail have been invaluable in handling the day to day needs of the office. She recently became the full-time office manager and is now the friendly voice heard when calling our office. Mickey lives in Rocky Hill with her husband Mike and their 2 children.
